Introducing Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate

Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate describes themselves as a rock/acoustic rock band from London featuring rock flute. Did you catch that? That's three "rock", one "flute" and one "acoustic" to describe their sound. The name itself is a mouthful but after a few listens to their sound you'll recognize that a word like "adequate" doesn't really do them justice. It's a diverse and original sound, but offers a good feeling of familiarity for people who are fans of artists like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Jethro Tull, and countless others who have blazed their own trail in the wide world of rock and roll music.

It should be little surprise that the new video for the single "While I Still Can" is a whimsical and clever creation that doesn't rely on fancy props or over the top graphics. Instead they take a unique approach and incorporate the classic tale of the boy in the tireless pursuit of winning his girl back! The video starts with the male lead receiving what can only be assumed to be a disconcerting text message from his significant other. His casual stroll down the block immediately becomes a mad dash to present her with a present that will charm her, be adored by her, and be something that she can keep forever and call her own. Throughout the clip it becomes apparent that Malcolm and his merry band of revelers are in fact the contents of the box and we get to witness the race against the clock to deliver the package on time. The box is tossed and trampled along the way, but the power of love is a great motivator and he arrives just in time. But will his present be enough to win her back? We know you ain't never seen anything like this! Introducing.... Sean Forbes, an artist whose ability to overcome is an inspiration to music fans of all walks of life

Greetings cherished programmers, it’s Andy Gesner and the HIP Video Promo crew once again bringing you a groundbreaking artist whose skill set you’ve likely never seen or heard before! Sean Forbes is a successful songwriter, an accomplished percussionist, and the co-founder of Deaf Professional Arts Network. Sean Forbes experiences music in a way that most of us can only imagine. Out to build a badly needed bridge between the music industry and deaf people everywhere, Sean inspires music fans and video programmers with his astounding new video clips for “Def Deaf Girls” and “Bob Dylan (Was the First Rapper).”

Forbes grew up in Detroit where his parents, both musicians, filled their home with the sounds of Motor City, including artists which inspired Sean’s passion for music such as Mitch Ryder, Bob Seger, The Funk Brothers, and more. Despite the loss of hearing as a baby, Sean Forbes soaked up the beats and vibrations, experiencing music in a whole new way. Inspired by what he calls “The Three B’s”—The Beastie Boys, The Beatles, and Bob Dylan—Sean began his musical career by making music videos in his basement; he currently produces professional video clips with a focus on the deaf and hard of hearing community. Sean Forbes is also the co-founder of D-Pan, The Deaf Professional Arts Network, a non-profit organization that focuses on translating popular artists’ songs into American Sign Language music videos for the deaf.

With a passion like no other, Sean has had a dream of music for everyone and he has transformed the way in which deaf people perceive music. Throughout his inspiring videos and his long-lived outreach to deaf people everywhere, Forbes presents music to the hearing impaired as beautiful symphonies of thought and expression. The hard of hearing community is also fascinated by his ASL translations of musical hits; since 2008, Sean Forbes has performed in over forty cities across the country, including college campuses, live venues, and popular retail stores such as Barnes and Noble. His debut LP Perfect Imperfection was released in early September of this year, and includes the tracks of these recently released video clips “Def Deaf Girls” and “Bob Dylan (Was the First Rapper).” Click HERE for the full bio on HIPVideoPromo.com!

This bone crushing new clip will hit you with the intensity of stepping into the octoagon... TRAPT "Bring It"

Hello programming friends, it’s Andy Gesner and the HIP Video Promo crew bringing you two knock-your-socks-off rockers from one of the most recognizable names in hard rock and heavy metal from the past decade; Trapt. From the breakout self-titled full length album, which featured the epic anthem “Headstrong”, all the way through their 2010 release No Apologies, the band has kept true to their vision of making the best damn hard rock music out there. These Los Angeles hard rockers have proved to be all-stars in the hard rock genre, sharing stages along with their contemporaries such as Chevelle, and Papa Roach as well slots of some of the most coveted tours like 2008’s Crüe Fest Tour with Motley Crüe, Buckcherry, and Papa Roach.

Trapt's brand new video,“Bring It” measures the eccentricity and the original energy that is bound to be released throughout tracks on the upcoming full length Reborn. “Bring It” displays the intensity and strong personal influences of the band’s roots. We are taken to the inside of workout gyms and boxing rings to find that bullying still exists within adult social settings. The song creates the empowering human emotion of courage, yet acts as a sedative for those in need of power boosts through strong guitars and forthcoming vocals. Frontman Chris Brown describes “Bring It” as “an F U to all those who say ‘you can't,’ to anyone who has ever doubted you." Click HERE for the full bio on HIPVideoPromo.com.

The meaning of August & J's single "For Once"

August & J fans, you're in for a treat. August was kind enough to offer up the lyrical meaning of his hit song, “For Once”(which is positively catching fire on YouTube, fast approaching the 3 MILLION views mark!. Check it out...

Many years ago I fell in love with a girl.  Since the day I met her, I wanted to provide for her…give her the things she wanted and needed.  She never asked or held anything over my head, I just wanted to give her everything I could.  I wanted to give her a nice home to live in, nice clothes to wear, the ability to travel...etc…Over the years we struggled financially and many of those things never happened, but we kept moving forward.  We talked and dreamed about things we’d like to someday do.  Have you ever heard the saying “couples who dream together, stay together”?  We dreamed.

About a year ago I received a bonus from my job and I decided to get her something that we’d dreamed about for a long time.  When it arrived, she couldn’t believe it and I could see tears in her eyes.  I felt like I’d finally given her something worthy of a Queen.

About that same time, I received an email from J.  In the email was an MP3 of a musical idea he’d just come up with.  That evening, first words I wrote were, “For Once, she can be the Queen.  For Once, she can live the dream”.  From that point on, I wrote the entire song about her.

The lyric in the first verse, “and she cried and she cried and she cried”.  In my mind, those are tears of happiness.

 ~ August

Jeff M. Dixon "My Baby" Music Video

Jeff M. Dixon is able to immediately captivate an audience with his charisma and electrifying stage presence. HIP Video Promo recognized this true vocalist and over all entertainer as an artist who can completely inspire and recreate those most beloved classic R&B elements that artists such as Usher and R Kelly have done so well to create. In his most recent music video “My Baby,” this persona and vibe is emanated by catapulting images of successful choreography and empowering vocal performances.

Introducing... Dave Childz

From his upbringing in the Bronx to his fascination with hip hop at the age of 13, Dave Childz has subscribed to the concept of ATFL (Addicted To Fly Living), which promotes living life to the fullest and always aiming for the highest standards. He has subscribed to this lifestyle in all aspects of his life, which has led him to be heavily immersed in many different projects over the years, both music and not. But after many years of being a jack of all trades, he turned his true love of music into his main focus and began dropping mixtape after mixtape, experiencing growing success with each offering. His most recent mixtape Cruise Control was the most popular yet, seeing Dave team up with other artists from the A.T.F.L. crew such as G4 Jonny to show what they are all about. It's with this forward momentum that saw Dave immediately jump back in the studio to record his newest single, and newest video, Cap Guns & Bottle Rockets.

Being such a ferociously hard worker and networker it's only appropriate that Dave surrounds himself with a big crew. In the new video for "Cap Guns & Bottle Rockets" Dave and his crew deliver a no-frills lesson on big rhymes, seismic beats and buttery smooth delivery. The video is shot in a slick style of low saturation and low exposure with bands of color spliced in for a dramatic cinematic effect. When you've got the skills of Dave Childz, and with G4 Jonny at his side throughout the clip, there's no need for lavish sets or fancy props because for Dave and his crew, it's all about the music and the A.T.F.L. lifestyle. Communicating Vessels proudly present SANDERS BOHLKE!

Sanders Bohlke’s contemporary indie-rock music is on the rise, setting forth the newest music genre known to date called Neo-Soul. With influential commonalities close to the likes of modern musicians such as Andrew Bird and Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s, Bohlke’s music portrays a likelihood of utmost importance. We are proud to present his most recent video clip “Ghost Boy,” which portrays the tantalizing deep-rooted theme of childhood nightmares.

Like many of America’s greatest musicians, Sanders Bohlke has his roots in the South. Currently based in Charlottesville, VA, it was in the heart of the Mississippi Delta that Bohlke found his voice, which has developed over the years into a bounding scene of rigorous beauty, yet rampant heartbreak. In Oxford, he attended The University of Mississippi where he furthered his craft by recording his self-titled debut folk album. Praised for its passion and downright honesty, Bohlke’s debut has taken him through expansive musical territory, sharing stages with artists such as Badly Drawn Boy, Tom Morello, and Gomez.

En route, Sanders had compiled a most impressive collection of songs that have been released as digital singles and taunting EPs. Songs such as “The Weight of Us,” “The War,” and “Search and Destroy” carry a dark tone and complex instrumentation, which has stylized and captured the sound that makes up Bohlke’s musical existence. His new album Ghost Boy, released on December 4 on Communicating Vessels, captures Sanders’ musical evolution that commits to layers of soundscapes containing flourishing elements of folk, indie-rock, and soulful vocals. Recorded in collaboration with producer, Remy Zero alumni and Communicating Vessels label head Jeffrey Cain, the album Ghost Boy includes tracks that are relevant to modern life, yet contain timeless melodies of gloomy satirical epiphanies. Bohlke’s video for the latest single “Ghost Boy” captures all of these elemental properties that create a certain vastness of undeniable beauty. Click HERE for the full bio on HIPVideoPromo.com!

Introducing... ZOOBELLY!

Hello programmers, it’s Andy Gesner and the HIP Video Promo crew, excited to present you Detroit’s own Zoobelly—an astonishing new indie band that fuses guitar rock with a healthy dose of electronic elements, along with quirky undertones that promises complete entertainment and downright positive energy. With a rare comparison to one of the most eclectic indie outfits, of Montreal, for their attention to detail in creating an equally unique visual to compliment their music, Zoobelly’s music creates a full palette of sensory stimulation. With their newest video for “Love Drug Bunny,” they bring all of this together to create a truly over-the-top music video experience!

The clip contains comical relief, yet satirical notions. Set during Detroit’s “The New Dance Show” hosted by R.J. Watkins, scenes of highly enthusiastic music fans dance to “Love Drug Bunny” as Zoobelly performs on stage. Complete with the unforgettable outfits of the 1980s, we watch as the audience gets their feet and hips moving, and some epic dance moves of the era are revisited with some predictably schadenfreude-esque and absurd results. But it’s all about the “can’t stop, won’t stop” for this audience and they can only hope to match the energy of the live performance from the stage. The distinct fluidity and powerful cadence of “Love Drug Bunny” propels this clip into a sweaty fervor that will have viewers feeling the heat on the other side of their screens.
