Sanders Bohlke drops video for beautiful new single "Serious"

"Serious” is the sixth track on Sanders Bohlke's magnificent album Ghost Boy; an utterly moving tune, the song contains both truth and emotional intensity. Filmed in Jackson, Mississippi by director Robby Piantanida, Bohlke explains that editor Azod Abedikichi should take most of the credit for “taking this beautiful footage and really capturing the loneliness intended in the song.” Piantanida and Sanders had a simple idea and shot the clip during the span of one short, very hot afternoon. Framed by the solitary act of shooting baskets and skateboarding, including a losing round of one-on-one with Frank, another basketball player that just happened to be in the park while they were filming, Sanders conveys this profound sense of loneliness and frustration. It’s empowering footage that justifies such a powerful song. After opening for Rachael Yamagata on her tour of more than 28 major markets throughout the U.S. and Canada, later this month Sanders will join both Aofie O’Donovan and Gregory Alan Isakov on select dates for each of their tours in the Southeast and Midwest. Kansas City's Antennas Up return with irresistible new single, "The Awkward Phase"

HIP Video Promo is pleased to once again be working with this year’s most noteworthy indie-rock band, Antennas Up. We’ve just recently promoted the endearing and beguiling video for the single “Coming On,” and the band is at it again with their title track “The Awkward Phase.”

With over three thousand copies of their debut album The Awkward Phase sold, Kansas City’s own Antennas Up’s music is this year’s hottest indie-rock creation. Introducing: Doug Crawford

Canadian artist Doug Crawford combines hip-hip, R&B, pop, and dubstep in his creative and edgy music. With contemporary influences revolving around artists such as Eminem, 50 cent, Dr Dre, and Drake, Crawford’s music is on the rise in the music scene. HIP Video Promo is excited to introduce his astounding music video clip for “The One & Only.”

This self-made hip-hop artist has been producing and successfully marketing his music to fans for over a decade. As one half of the Kelowna-based rap duo Secret Society, he released three albums that collectively sold over 10,000 copies with no formal distribution, and garnered a VideoFACT grant for their single “Lakeshore Craze,” which resulted in a music video that received regular rotation on MuchMusic’s RapCity program.

After a decade of developing his craft as part of a group, Doug has now launched his career as a solo artist with the release of his debut solo album One Day At A Time. Doug has toured relentlessly across North America, and has opened for numerous internationally recognized names such as Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Ludacris, and The Game amongst many others. He has performed at festivals such as Kelowna’s Summer Jam and Edmonton’s Canada Day celebration, and his new album Perseverance has just recently been released via the digital distribution arm of Interscope Records.

Introducing: Smitty Soul

Producer, songwriter, and rapper Smitty Soul has just released his first solo project produced entirely by Ryan&Smitty and is making a name for himself amongst contemporary rappers. HIP Video Promo is pleased to introduce his fresh new video clip “Animal.”

This Los Angeles rapper’s new album Hip Hop…It’s a Hell of a Drug and is taking the music industry by storm. Smitty admits that he has “finally settled in as an artist, settling in on a sound and taking risks at the same time,” and you can hear this confidence shine through on the debut record.

Over the years, Smitty has produced tracks for Nicky Minaj and Alien Ant Farm. Since the release of the new album, he has been participating in writing sessions and making beats with his producing counterpart, Ryan Marrone. Without further adieu, we present the groundbreaking clip for “Animal.”

“Animal” is the debut music video for Smitty Soul; it was a massive undertaking that was managed by a large group of friends and collaborators, and was shot in Las Vegas and Los Angeles by the incredibly talented brothers Scott and Kevin McNamara.
