Watch: Kwanza Jones "SUPERCHARGED"
Throughout her new single/video, “SUPERCHARGED,” Kwanza Jones puts her star power on display for the world to see. With a stark white backdrop, her style and eager performances are highlighted making this rising star hard to miss. The video is shot with professional techniques that include a wide variety of pro lighting and scenery changes to help lead us through the scenes. Kwanza Jones sings into the eye of the camera as male dancers surround her in a circle, making Jones’ role in “SUPERHCARGED” that of a diva-queen. Her look can be leveled as a new-age/contemporary Cleopatra, and what better person to bow down to other than Kwanza Jones herself? Her look is inviting and inspirational, her stylistic approach is rousing, and she captivates this style all throughout the risqué scenes of “SUPERCHARGED.”

Rising Artist: YOSHI "Listen Up"
HIP Video Promo presents the latest music video from the one and only Yoshi. This talented hip-hop artist and songwriter from Michigan expresses contemporary elements of well-known artists such as Common, Lupe Fiasco, and The Roots while blending power driven MC styles that speak truths about the current state of the world. His positive hip-hop and alternative genre of music creates an atmospheric vibe that constitutes his latest video “Listen Up.”
Originating from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Yoshi expanded his passion for music as one of Metro Detroit’s most creative and talented artists. At the mere age of fourteen, he put pen to paper as a poet. At seventeen, he stole hearts at local poetry slams throughout Michigan, and today he continues to innovate his fans as he establishes himself as Michigan’s premier MC. He has described himself as a “professional inspirational rapper with many years under my belt. I enjoy creating unique music that nourishes the mind, body, and soul,” and that is exactly what Yoshi expresses in his well-manicured and affluent sound. With countless tracks available for free on Soundcloud.com, Yoshi delivers fresh beats that erupt from his old-soul style. Forget everything you knew about hip-hop because Yoshi is rewriting the rules of the game!
Armed with an arsenal of soulful hip-hop tracks, this artist on the rise of fame has already created a number of mix-tapes, EPs and full-length albums, not to mention the establishment of a unique sound, soul, and style. Songs such as “Black Plague” feature old school beats while he spits a flow that can be compared to the all-encompassing artist known as Mos Def. His last single, “Magnetic” conquered the charts across the world, inviting fans from Canada and the Czech Republic with welcoming arms. The mass appeal has landed his hits on FUSE TV On-Demand, Okayplayer, URB Magazine’s Top 1,000, the Ann Arbor News, and Kaboom Magazine. His most recent video “Listen Up” encompasses all of the above, and HIP Video Promo is proud to introduce the clip. Shot and directed by Alexander Falk, “Listen Up” demands the attention of the world’s most important contemporaries—the citizens of the nation.

A delicate offering to his true love in hopes of mending a broken heart ..... Jeff M. Dixon
Jeff M. Dixon is able to immediately captivate an audience with his charisma and electrifying stage presence. HIP Video Promo recognized this true vocalist and over all entertainer as an artist who can completely inspire and recreate those most beloved classic R&B elements that artists such as Usher and R Kelly have done so well to create. In his most recent music video “My Baby,” this persona and vibe is emanated by catapulting images of successful choreography and empowering vocal performances.
Dixon was influenced at an early age by a multitude of entertaining artists that came before him such as Prince, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. However, Jeff’s ability to add silky smooth styles of choreography blending jazz, hip-hop, pop-lockin’ dance moves, and expression into his well-framed performance ability adds a certain spice of flavor to this rising star. Live performances showcase Dixon’s musical gifts as a true musician, yet all the while he captivates his audience with live guitar leads and keyboard licks.
Jeff’s main passion in life is the creation of his music, and he believes in finding new and innovative ways to truly entertain his fans. His music is more than just what we call a song and dance—his audience always feels the energy and genuine talent being brought before them throughout any performance. With these energetic skills and high-volume movements, Jeff M. Dixon’s stardom has nowhere else to go but forward. No matter the size of the venue, be it large or small, Dixon’s performances have been said to always be “intimate, leaving his audience feeling that they have been truly entertained.” His latest video clip “My Baby” encompasses all of these lasting elements, and HIP Video Promo proudly presents them to you with incredulous honor. Introducing.... ON THE FIFTY
Some college kids spend their winter break hanging out. But the members of Brooklyn, NY band On The Fifty spent their January break realizing a dream: they got their musical hero to produce their record. That hero is Anthony Raneri, frontman of the Queens, NY punk band Bayside, and the 5 song E.P. Raneri produced for On The Fifty is entitled "Fast Hands, Bad Timing". Given the age of the band members (all in their final year of college) It's surprising how epic, how involving both the music and lyrics are on "Fast Hands, Bad Timing". Raneri's visceral production techniques give the songs a lingering urgency. On The Fifty's "Fast Hands, Bad Timing" is a record for anyone who's spend an aimless night driving around their neighborhhood, looking for something to do, and wondering what their future will be.
Those of us that still appreciate a little bit of juvenile humor will appreciate the fact that the even though the band exhibits a maturity beyond their years at times, they also have the ability to exhibit the kind of maturity we might expect from a crew of teenage boys. In their video for "The Future" we see the band exhibiting a rather reckless appreciation for illegal substances, masturbation, sleeping, video games and junk food. We should also tell you that we're tacking on the uncensored version of the video so the world can see what is behind the blur and the black bars! It's refreshing to see a band with a good sense of humor about themselves, even while they keep the music focused on the much more daunting task of examining what the future might actually hold for them. Clearly that is some heavy subject matter, but with On The Fifty, they are able to tackle it with ease and a positive outlook.Click HERE for full bio on HIPVideoPromo.com!

Huge new Kwanza Jones new music video for "SUPERCHARGED" coming soon!
Kwanza Jones established her dance-pop credentials in 2011 with her Billboard charting hit, “Think Again.” This song signaled the Supercharged sound for Jones, who is known for her never-ending energy and non-stop curves. Born in Los Angeles on Thanksgiving Day, Kwanza exhibited a certain star quality from childhood to present -- often winning beauty and talent contests, including the Miss Baltimore pageant. The daughter of two lawyers, Kwanza foresaw a career on the business and legal side of the entertainment industry. However, a chance meeting with Quincy Jones and a performance at the world famous Apollo Theater, altered her course. Despite the lure of the Hollywood lights, Jones chose to spend time in New York City honing her songwriting skills, teaching herself guitar, attending law school and “getting some life lessons.”
Although new to the scene, Kwanza Jones has made key national appearances including performances at Matinee Las Vegas, Fly Life Music’s “Girls 4 Boys Tour”, her recent “Bring the Heat” Florida Tour and various stops in San Francisco, San Diego, Atlanta, Los Angeles and New York. Kwanza’s latest single, “Time To Go”, already has people talking. The newly released video was recently featured on numerous sites including Yahoo Music alongside Nicki Minaj, British celebrity gossip site PopDash and the Google endorsed YouTube channel, DanceOn.
Other life experiences include Kwanza’s brush with “love gone wrong“, when she was kicked out of her New York apartment during the winter. This planted the seeds for her anthemic songs about strength and self-reliance. These songs can be heard on her upcoming release, Supercharged. This album, a fusion of dance and pop, is produced by Luke Tozour (Katy Perry, P!nk, Mika, Adam Lambert, Selena Gomez). When asked to describe herself to a new fan, Kwanza says, “I’m a gladiator in a thong.” In talking about her upcoming album, Supercharged, Kwanza says, “it’s music for superheroes and divas (or those who want to be).”
The video for “Time To Go” is every bit as ferocious and undeniable as Kwanza herself. With her non-stop curves on full display and a wardrobe selection that has been called Futuristic Haute Couture, Kwanza puts her star power out for the world to see. Whether it be the illuminated silver and gold, or the classic floor length red dress, every detail is finely tuned and meticulously groomed. The video is shot with a professionalism that is second to none, with a wide variety of pro lighting and scenery changes to help lead us through the clip. A young boy is witnessing Kwanza’s arrival and sci-fi inspired performance and although he wasn’t prepared for what he saw, we feel his reaction is one that many viewers will relate to, being instantly drawn in, not turning away! Click HERE for Kwanza's full bio!

Brand new music videos courtesy of Kirtland Records: The Polyphonic Spree & Smile Smile!
HIP Video Promo is welcoming the seasonal cheer from Polyphonic Spree’s album Holidaydream, a great gift and stocking stuffer! This choral symphonic rock band from Dallas, Texas relies on a variety of vocal and instrumental color by featuring a choir, flute, trumpet, trombone, and other various instruments. The lead vocals of Tim DeLaughter introduces the warm undertones of what the upcoming holiday season has to offer in this exciting new clip “Silver Bells (Reprise).”
Polyphonic Spree formed in 2000 as a collaboration of thirteen musicians, exciting music fans from all over the nation. With four studio albums, three EPs, and countless singles, the band has had their eccentric music featured on various film soundtracks including Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Mozart and the Whale, and Keeping Up with the Steins. Over twenty musicians have collaborated with Polyphonic Spree over the years, adding heightened vibrations and whimsical notes to the eclectic sounds of this coming-of-age band. The release of their first ever holiday album is set to fuel the fire on the Yule log for the upcoming season, and the renditions of holiday songs that Polyphonic Spree has crafted so well will surely bring timeless and classic holiday cheer.
Always one to go above and beyond for their audiences, “Silver Bells (Reprise)” is just one of several upcoming video clips from Holidaydream and Polyphonic Spree presents the vision of holiday cheer in the warmest welcoming fashion. Lead singer DeLaughter is seen whimsically dancing around throughout Santa’s workshop where Holidaydream LP records are being made (which is actually a real pressing plant in Dallas). The classic approach to the holiday season makes this video seem like it’s from another time, promoting the original holiday fashion. Dressed in a wardrobe straight out of A Christmas Carol, DeLaughter merrily excites Santa’s helpers who are diligently getting ready for the holiday season by packaging copies of Holidaydream for all the good boys and girls. Smile Smile, the Texas pop duo, has an irresistible charm, having had their songs aired on MTV’s dating show NEXT, and featured in the cult comedy Jack and Jill vs. the World. They’ve taken their act across the country, earning a nomination for best folk-rock song at the Los Angeles Independent Music Awards and another for Best American Act at the Toronto Independent Music Awards. They’ve performed and headlined everywhere from NYC’s Living Room to SXSW in Austin. All this touring, combined with a substantial fan base including thousands of followers on Twitter, has made it known that Smile Smile enthusiasts seem to be everywhere.
The personal lives of the principal characters has remained public, given that guitarist/singer Ryan Hamilton and pianist/singer Jencey Keeton were once a couple. Despite a typically horrific breakup, they continue to harmonize beautifully onstage throughout their performances. However, they have acknowledged that there was no hiding their story, so Smile Smile has decided instead to embrace it. Their previous full-length album Truth On Tape is a brutally honest examination of a relationship in a tangle, sung from the perspectives of two young lovers with the best intentions. On their new album, also titled Marry A Stranger, the band further examines their unique dynamic, but draw from deeper within their external musical influences to flesh out their sound and develop themselves into an act that could fit right at home either on your radio or on your living room sofa.
The “Marry A Stranger” video begins at a wedding altar, shedding light on the fact that two lovers are marrying the wrong people. We watch in suspense as both leave their current engagements alone at the altar, disappointing family members and friends as they run to one another’s arms. “Marry A Stranger” includes personal lyrics such as “it seems so much safer / than going through the whole damn thing again.” The sultry guitar riffs and extraordinary piano notes echo a sound resembling Fountains of Wayne, giving this Smile Smile song an eclectic, yet classy feel. This account of love captures the idea of how honest true love is, and when it is real there is no denying it. Click HERE for the full bio!
