Europe's hottest DJ, Armin van Buuren, releases incredible new music video, "This Is What It Feels Like"
Armin Van Buuren was born in Leiden, Netherlands, but grew up in Koudekerk aan den Rijn. He began making music at the mere age of fourteen, and was inspired by French electronic composer Jean Michel Jarre. In 1995, Van Buuren graduated from the Stedelijk Gymnasium Leiden and studied law at Leiden University. He began working as a DJ in Club Nexus, performing multiple sets a week, most of which lasted about six or more hours. Since 2001, Van Buuren has hosted a weekly radio show called “A State of Trance,” which claims to have around twenty-five million listeners throughout twenty-six countries, which would make it one of the most listened-to radio show in the world!
Van Buuren is the number one ranked DJ having one DJ Magazine’s Top 100 DJs fan poll a record of five times, including winning four consecutive years between 2007 and 2010, and again in 2012. Armin’s 2008 studio album Imagine entered the Dutch album chart at number one, which was a first for a dance music artist in Dutch music history. In 2011, he was appointed Officer of the Order of Orange Nassau for his services to music, and his without further aduei, HIP Video Promo presents his newest video for “This Is What It Feels Like.”
This fresh and energetic video plays at the lightheartedness that exists within the realms of Armin Van Buuren’s characteristics as an artist. Teaming up with Trevor Guthrie on this single, “This Is What It Feels Like” is a catchy song that will leave you wanting more! We watch as Van Buuren and Guthrie race their dualing Shelby Mustang Cobras across the open desert, and ultimately competing against each other to win the heart of a sexy, young female they meet in their travels. Ron Jeremy even makes an appearance in the clip (don’t worry, it’s totally PG!) The competition is fierce but friendly and put it all together, “This Is What It Feels Like” is not only a killer tune but also makes for a stellar music video! Click here for the full bio.
Introducing an artist who naturally delivers music with endless soul and substance, Flo
Born to Nigerian parents and raised throughout a multi-cultural neighborhood in Winnipeg, Canada, Flo knew that she wanted to make a living doing something she loved at an early age. Knowing that her music was her future, Flo became inspired by the creation of motivationally driven music. Her journey as a solo artist first began with the introduction of her debut album entitled Flo. The Winnipeg Free Press states, “She’s definitely an urban soul artist to watch,” giving the album four out of five stars. The Winnipeg Sun wrote, “The record is dripping with confidence,” and in early 2011 Flo was the subject of an in-depth musician profile featured in Sandbox magazine. The album surely marked a confident beginning for this female artist on the rise, and has made her the most gifted artist within the R&B and pop genres known to date.
Flo’s second album Pieces of Me received positive critical acclaim after its spring release in 2012. During the recording process, her producer Arun Chaturvedi was crowned “Producer of the Year” at the Western Canadian Music Awards; the result of the collaboration was deemed a collection of pop/soul infused tracks with hints of R&B, dance, and hip-hop flavors. The material of this fresh album reflects her evolution as an inspiring woman and motivational artist. From the highly proclaimed album Pieces of Me, HIP Video Promo presents two tracks that describe Flo as a wild passion in living form. Click here for the full bio!

Introducing ... Maximum Hedrum with their Spike Jonze directed music video, "Synthesize"!
Maximum Hedrum is the new project of producer, director, and composer DJ Sam Spiegel and Sepultura vocalist Derrick Green. The band’s unique electronic-funk amalgam features Spiegel, Green, and renowned German musician and producer Harold Faltermeyer. Their songs are mixtures of contemporary music that can be compared to the likes of Devo, meeting the classic vocals and elements of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath along the way. However, Maximum Hedrum’s ambiguous synthesizers and electronica techniques are what make them stand out as this year’s best new modern rock band.
The forthcoming self-titled album is out now via Spectrophonic Sound and examines ideas revolving around the nature in which our lives are currently changing throughout advancements in technology and the Internet. Maximum Hedrum hit the stage hard at this year’s SXSW tour, appearing at the Last Call with Carson Daly showcase, and plan to excite and reinvent the contemporary music scene. Their second music video “Synthesize” displays the energetic feel of this musical creation, and features scenes from the skate film Pretty Sweet.
As the sultry sounds of “Synthesize” rock the speakers, scenes of modern skaters battle the concrete in this energetic video clip. Directors Spike Jonze, Ty Evans, and Cory Weincheque have created a video that is rich and entertaining, all the while expressing the ideas and revelations of Maximum Hedrum’s music. Lyrics such as “Obvious as it may seem / in dreams we find that / life’s our own design” powerfully enlighten and awaken ideas about the world in which we currently live. From startling realizations to calm interludes of expression, “Synthesize” transforms the modern music scene and creates an eclectic, yet electrifying way of expressing the positive ways in which society must conform.
